Best Western Niantic - New London/Mystic Area

Renovated just over a year ago - nice place with decent breakfast - front desk was very accommodating with reservation extensions and also went above and beyond helping get guests shoveled out after blizzard.

The room exceeded our expectations. The jacuzzi was in its own room with another TV and chairs for lounging. It was very clean and quiet. Getting in and out of the parking lot was a little difficult, but not to bad. A fantastic stay.

What a surprise. On our trip up the East Coast we were looking for a place to stop. This was an amazing hotel. Clearly, well renovated. Felt almost entirely new. Crisp, sharp, and super clean. Price was really good.

While the location and rooms had a fresh new appearance, the thermostat did not operate in our room and the window shade was stuck (broken electric control). When brought to their attention they said they had no one available to help. To add to the frustration, the elevator was out a majority of the time spent there. (Thursday and Friday nights.) The breakfast was adequate but not what I would call anything more than average. I would have given them a full 4.5 (half point off for breakfast) had we not had the issues mentioned above.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The renovation is very fresh and modern — everything is stylishly designed and well thought out. The breakfast area is beautiful and cozy, and the breakfast itself is impressive: a wide variety of options, from fresh fruit, yogurt, and eggs to sausages, make-your-own waffles, and even a yogurt machine. The coffee station is also great, with different coffee types and flavored syrups to choose from. The rooms are just as stylish and comfortable, with cozy mattresses, no carpets on the floor (which makes everything feel so fresh and clean), and a pleasant fragrance throughout the space. The service was excellent — very friendly and attentive staff. There’s also a pool on the second floor, which unfortunately wasn’t operational during our stay, but it looked like a great amenity. The hotel being pet-friendly is a huge plus for us, but I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the pet fee isn’t mentioned anywhere during booking — you only find out at the front desk that it’s $30 per night per pet. It would be helpful if this information were more transparent. Overall, it’s a stylish, clean, and welcoming hotel that we’d be happy to stay at again!

Stayed at this hotel this weekend for a group getaway. The receptionist seemed overwhelmed by our group of 17 when we checked in. The elevator to the first floor was out of service so we had to carry our luggage on 2 flights of stairs. Breakfast was very basic but okay. The dining area is small but clean. The room is spacious and pristine. We asked for the use of a meeting room and they obliged. We used it for a few hours in the evening for a meeting and they didn’t charge a fee.

A brand new, inexpensive, clean hotel in the perfect location. There is some construction on 95 and you have to make a loop but in a couple months that will be done. It is a great stopping point if you're on the trip. The rooms are big and modern and priced well. Front desk super polite. Typical free breakfast but it gets you out the door without having to stop.

As we like to visit Mohegan Sun and see family in the area, we found this to be a very good choice. The hotel looks plain from the outside however it has been completely remodeled inside and the rooms are always clean. The rooms have faux wood floors which appeals to us from a cleanliness standpoint. The staff is friendly as well. For a few dollars more opt for the breakfast included.
